Description:
Project Team
Complete gut rehabilitation of an existing 6-story multi-family 12, 300 SF residential building into fifteen (15) units under the ANCP program by HPD, which assist organized tenant associations with developing a self-sufficient low-income cooperative. The building needed extensive structural bracing to comply with the 2014 building code. The building also complies with Green Communities Criteria 2016. It was decided to renovate the building rather than tear it down, in order to grandfather in the old zoning and certain Old Code building requirements. The building also utilized the Atlas brick, which reinforced the party wall and enabled the brick to use used as the finished material.
