Conversion and merging of two (2) Landmarked factory buildings; one building is 10-stories and the other building is 12-stories totaling 356,000 SF. Both building were built in 1927 and are located in the West Chelsea Historic District. Design AIDD is converting the various floors into Galleries, Offices and Artist Studios. Design AIDD also coordinates the tenant spaces, verify NYC code compliance, clear ECB and DOB violations. File Public Assemblies (PA), assist with Fire Alarm Design, and Fire Protection Plans. Created a new luxury Caretaker’s apartment with panoramic Hudson River views. File and update the Alteration “Type 1” application in order to obtain a new Certificate of Occupancy for the building.
